Vision For the Project
Initially offered in the State of Mississippi and spreading throughout the Southeast, The O'Nan Project for Change will serve as a vehicle to bring hope to others and offer inspiration to those who feel that there is no way out of their current restrictive circumstances. As a non-profit organization, The O'Nan Project for Change will develop and set up community based mentorship programs for teenagers in junior high school that will be brought by them to the elementary school level. Chosen students will receive a scholarship for a free workshop with Meagan O'Nan and continued coaching with a certified life coach. The students will share the skills they have learned with elementary school students in cooperation with the Children's Leadership Institute. An incentive approach will provide local businesses opportunities to support the program by offering discounts to participants. The O'Nan Project for Change is a partnership between love, hope, and faith solidly grounded in the knowing that, when a vision is so big that all you can do is think about it, take the leap and a net will appear.
We are brought to this earth for a purpose. Embedded within each of us is a dream… a dream that we hope for but are not sure is realistic or how to grasp a hold of it. Too many times, we settle for what is safe and comfortable because we are scared of what we may or may not achieve. Many of us need someone else to give us permission to shine our own light. The O'Nan Project for Change wants to share the message that shining your light is what changes the world. The only way to make better communities is to build hope, responsibility, and a foundational mindset that inspires and energizes people to take initiative in their own lives. This energy multiplies as it gives others permission to do the same and the ripple continues. We are all in this together.
