Meagan O’Nan is a human connection speaker, storyteller, and spoken word artist who helps people strengthen communication, build meaningful relationships, and show up as themselves, especially in the moments that matter most.
She is a 2x TEDx speaker and an international award winning speaker. Meagan is also a 3x author, including Held & Free: Coming Out of Your Story, which received a Kirkus Review and multiple awards.
Her work has been featured in major media outlets including Forbes, NPR, FOX, Yahoo!, Authority Magazine, Brainz Magazine, and New York Weekly, and she has appeared on television programs including The Social Live, where she shared her perspective on moving beyond cancel culture and building connection in today’s world.
Over the past 17+ years, Meagan has spoken to thousands of people across corporate, nonprofit, and community settings. She has worked with organizations such as Inspire Brands (parent company of Arby’s, Dunkin’, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic, Jimmy John’s, and Baskin-Robbins), Toyota, AT&T, the American Red Cross, United Way and hundreds more. She helps leaders and teams build stronger communication, deeper trust, and more connected cultures.
Her work blends storytelling, spoken word, and practical frameworks, creating experiences that are both emotionally impactful and immediately applicable. Audiences don’t just hear the message, they see themselves in it.
In addition to her keynote work, Meagan creates live, interactive experiences that bring people together through shared expression. Such as, Pen to Paper with musician Kellie Rose, a live experience that blends music, spoken word, and storytelling to explore mental health, identity, and connection while inviting the audience into the creative process.

Meagan lives in Mississippi with her wife, Clare, their daughter, Merit, and a full, lively household that includes two dogs, three cats, two ducks, and one fish.
